Early in the morning just before sunrise on the Sound. We put in at Shilshole marina. Fishing for Silvers.
When this thing went buy made us feel like a dot on the water.
Lots of sailboats on the water today, but this guy got our attention. Beautiful boat.

We went fishing on the Snohomish River just down the hill from our house. This is how our day started, "Very Sad" indeed.
Then Jeff caught the first Pink. That's all it took and we were hooked.
Then me, (it was bigger)
Then another.
And another. These little guys are Pinks, the smallest of the salmon species, but how they can put up a fight. We caught 5 in all today. Soaked em in brine, and to the smoker they went. mmm good!

What a handsome kid
Colby's first fish. 6 " trout, btw, he's the only one that caught a keeper that day. Hard being showed up by a three year old.
Proud papa Mel, and showing off the fish
Wiped out! What a day, dirty face and all
Nice having grandkids around. Allissia starts school next month at Everett High School
Trisha, Allissia, Kaylee and grandpa Jeff

One of many garden projects this year. We raised corn, carrots, beans, peppers, squash, zuccinni, cucumbers, red raspberries, and a giant pumkin plant for the grandkids.
